District-wide Live Broadcast

• Basic Info:

  Asked to connect multiple sites together for a live audio/video broadcast for a high-stakes yearly kick-off event, I have successfully led a collaborative IT staff effort multiple years running, providing iterative improvements to the experience and process each year.

  Starting with a broadcast from a single site delivered over our Lync teleconferencing platform three years ago, this broadcast has evolved into a multi-technology production utilizing key services from Lync, Polycom, live video switching, real-time encoding, and scalable video streaming utilizing Microsoft Smooth Streaming technology.

  Feedback received suggests these improvements continue to provide high engagement levels, allowing key stakeholders the ability to deliver their message across a wide audience. By supplying key technical vision and direction, I've been able to successfully deliver a production-quality broadcast utilizing staffing talent and knowledge already present within our team.
